I hate feet, feet are stupid. This assignment was stupid, especially the third time.
So here you go. Yellow shoe. Wee hoo.
There was a flash.

I was just messing around outside because it was a nice day, I took some pictures of weeds! :D

March 26. 2010

I was told to take sadie ticket pictures, they kept blending with the background it was quite aggravating, so I ended up having to underexpose them on purpose and do a levels adjustment.
ISO 400, f/2.8, 1/200

I was told to go to Orr Auto and take some shots for an ad. Initially they put us on a camaro and everyone ended up being sillhouetted because of the location. Epic Fail. Sooo we ended up on a big truck.

I was assigned to shoot a picture of a sadie mum on a white background so yearbook could cut it out. It was tough to get his cute little head and ray-bahns in the picture, so I had to prop it up with a water bottle. :P
My settings were ISO 500, f/4, 1/160

Fun In the Sun

I made my boyfriend let me take a picture of him. :P he's a cutie. It was sunny and warm which was amazing feeling. I love the sun.
My settings were

f/2.8
1/2500

"Can I flex it for you girl!?"

I made this really tiny so you can't see how stupid these people look.
This was an incredibly difficult group of people to photograph, I guess incompetence is hard to hide in a picture.
Settings: ISO 100, f/4.0, 1/100

2-14-10

The dance floor got pretty intense, on the brink of pornographic. :P
I had to sneak into a group of people and sort of dance to get this shot.
Settings:
f/4 1/15- ISO 800
(flash prevented blurring)

2-12-10

I had to take a headshot of Marian Hill for yearbook.
Because it had to be against a white background and she has such light hair and skin the settings took a few tries.
In the end I ended up with this.

The settings are:
ISO 800
f/5 1/80

2-10-10

Jacob Hill is a freshman that quoted for the yearbook. I had to take a headshot of him during the class period.
I pulled him out of class and out him a little bit away from against the wall.
Settings: ISO 800 f/4 1/100.

oink!

In the government class the teacher uses metal pigs in a jug to wake up sleeping students. I had an assignment to take a picture of them for yearbook. I used a 580X and my settings were 3.5 and shutter speed 60.

Flower on a chair

I have to take 100 pictures of the same thing, so I chose a chair-- I put a flower in the chair for my first picture in the rain, which ended up being more just pictures of the flower just by itself on the chair. I cross lit it to make the water stand out and make more dramatic shadows with a high aperture. The first picture was shot at f 4.5 and shutter speed 250.
The second was shot at f 25 and shutter speed 250-- flash speed f/32 and f/16.

Zach Take Two

I was told to re-do the Zach picture, because it was apparently not what they wanted.
I learned that when you aren't given direction attempting to assume what is wanted may backfire... Which means, reshooting it. It was really fun though, he's a phenomenal trumpet player and I liked listening to him, He looks more in his element now. I bounced a 580X of the ceiling and my settings were f/5.6 and 1/80 sec.

I shot this at 2.8 with a shutter speed of 160. Mums are one of the only flowers that bloom at this time of year so I wanted to capture them :D

Jan 21 2010

This may be the most fun I've ever had with a cutout for yearbook. I had no direction in what the yearbook staff wanted, so the subject and I just decided to have fun with it. My flash was at f/16 my camera was at 120 and f/4. I have to reshoot the assignment, but that's alright because I had a great time.

B-ball

Friday after being sick all day I decided I would shoot basketball anyway, besides having flash difficulty it went pretty well. This is my best lit image, not the best compositionally but the lighting was amazing. I shot it at f/5 at 200 ISO 800. The image is cross lit by 3 off camera flashes.

Rosbuds Dance

I was asked to shoot this for a friend... I shot it at 500 with a flash on ETTL as to change my settings easily, Generally I shot at 5.6 at 80. That caused blurring but in the cafeteria there is really no good lighting to work with. I had a good time.

Locket :D

This image was shot at 1.8 at 1/80 of a second. The locket is the point of focus in this one because the detail on it is really interesting to me, in the editing process I wanted to bring out the contrast in the older looking details as well as the wear the locket has acquired.
In this picture I used a white background as to not take away from the locket's details. I shot this at the same settings as the other, but wanted to make more of the objects in focus. The colors really stand out to me.

I have been meaning to re-do a locket picture I had taken.
This time I took a completely different approach.

Gooooatsss

Over Christmas Break I visited my father's land, which he likes the call "el rancho no gotta" I got a few shots of him goat wrangling.
I shot this at 100 at f/16 and a shutter speed of about 200. I started off with a lower shutterspeed in hopes to blur the background a bit but that wasn't happening with goats as fast as these.
Couldn't catch the goats face without food in it. :P

Wintah Foots

I was playing with the Canon G11 in class and decided to take feet pictures when I saw a cool shadow on Kaitlyn Porterfield's shoe.

I was inspired to take a lot of feet pictures at this point.
